This sample pack from Meiji includes some of their most popular chocolate candies. It includes the following candies: Coffee Beat, Gummy Choco Strawberry, Choco Baby, Apollo and Marble. Since this was a sample pack there is no price indication per sample.

Coffee Beat

This chocolate candy has a clear coffee flavour, which you would expect from its name. The outside texture reminds me of Smarties or M&Ms and the chocolate inside does as well. The coffee bean shape these candies are a very nice touch.

Gummy Choco Strawberry

The Gummy Choco Strawberry candies mainly taste like strawberry. You do taste the chocolate, but it’s not very present. The inside of it consists of a chewy jelly.

Choco Baby

Choco Baby are small soft chocolate cylinders which taste just like you’d expect from Meiji chocolate. Their size and quantity makes them very easy to share.

Apollo

These little chocolate mountains consist of strawberry white chocolate and milk chocolate. The main flavour is strawberry, but the milk chocolate does add a nice touch to it. The milk chocolate has a less strong flavour than I’m used to.

Marble

Marble chocolate candies remind me of Smarties or M&Ms, both in texture and flavour. The colours were definitely not evenly divided, I had mainly pink ones in my sample pack. Aside from that there were two yellow, one brown, one green and one blue one. There are more colours on the packaging than inside the packaging.

These five Meiji chocolate candies definitely didn’t disappoint, each has their own distinct flavour so there’s something in here for everyone!
