This is not a sponsored review and because of this I won’t mention where I bought this set, if you do an online search using the name of this kit you’ll be able to find this one in several webshops.

Heart – Rilakkuma Chocolates – Simple
Price: ± €4
Extra supplies: Scissors, Spoon, Refrigerator, 2 Heatproof Bowls or Cups, Optional: Piping Bag

With this kit you create adorable Rilakkuma chocolates, this kit is usually available around Valentine’s Day and White Day, which is on the 14th of March. In Japan Valentine’s is usually a day on which women give chocolates to men, White Day is the day when men repay the favour and give gifts to women. You create 13 chocolates with this kit, of which 4 hearts, 2 with a K and 2 with an R on them, 8 Rilakkuma chocolates and one Kiiroitori chocolate. You get strawberry white and milk chocolate with this set, but you could reuse it with any chocolate you’d like. The kit also comes with cute little bags that you can present the chocolate in.

Flavour: ♥♥♥
The milk chocolate tastes just like Heart milk chocolate usually tastes, which is creamy and slightly bitter. The strawberry white chocolate had a nice strawberry flavour and was creamy as well. I wasn’t expecting any less from this kit.

Time needed: ⧗
Making these chocolates doesn’t take up a lot of time, you just need to melt the chocolate, pour it in the mould, let it set and remove them from the mould. You will have to wait a while for them to set.

Difficulty level: ★
This kit is very easy to make, apart from burning the chocolate or not letting it set long enough there’s not much that can go wrong.

Similarity: ???
As you can see the final result resembles the image on the packaging well. The chocolates are not any less shiny than the ones on the packaging. The shapes are the same and overall I think they look pretty much the same.

TIP: Use a piping bag to pour in the chocolate to keep it neat.

Want to enjoy this kit again?

Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.

If you want to reuse the mould you could use any flavour and colour of chocolate you’d like. You could also use the mould to shape candies, fondant or something else.
