Lucie,Too shared the full music video of their newest song HOMETOWN, an official theme song for Nikko City. As part of a settlement promotion project for young people, titled Nikko Third Place, the song is based on a workshop that took place in November, where the image of Nikko was discussed, imagined by the trio and high school and university students coming from inside and outside the city. In the video, you can see a part of this meeting, but also that the members of Lucie,Too walks around in Nikko City and performing in a school class.

50 seconds into the video, you hear the start of a sweet and soft song that really breathes Lucie,Too. The song perfectly fits with the voice of singer and guitarist Chisa, who gets assistance from the other two musicians. Their singing together provides a calm effect. HOMETOWN consists of an easy melody that takes you on a sightseeing trip through the town. The lyrics describe the several sightseeing spots in Nikko City, but is packed in a typical Lucie,Too song, without having to adjust to something totally different. This makes the song very compelling. As fitting with the band, the song HOMETOWN is not that long, barely 3 minutes long, without repetitions, just a pure indie pop song without frills.

During the workshop in November, the members of the meeting thought about the lyrics, the Japanese band did the arrangement to make the song complete. It is an interesting collaboration, which is maybe something that we should see more often in the future. HOMETOWN was performed for the first time at the Nikko City Office in February.
