After the surprise release of the「AREA」Music Video, Royz surprises the fans one more time by bringing out the Music Video of IGNITE a month before the single comes out in stores, where normally they would release it the day before. And not only did that surprise all of those following Royz, but the song itself also shows an entirely different side of Royz, surpassing any of the expectations.
The song starts off by giving tension through a slow but dreading build-up towards a kick-off no one saw coming. The video works with the music to build up this tensity by just showing us some previews of what is to come. When the tension reached its climax, Subaru blows it up by a loud and low grunt, setting the tone for the rest of the song, immediately making this the hardest song by them so far. The visuals quake with the loudness and distort in multiple ways in perfect harmony with the instrumentals. And even with the grunts and the huge distortion from the guitars, the usual Royz sound is still very present in the chorus and refrains. It’s both a song that grabs your breath during the hard parts as well as creates a catchy tune in the vocals to make it memorable.
IGNITE shows how versatile Royz can be and keeps on advancing their music to new levels. There is something in it for everyone, heavy tunes and grunts, soft clean vocals and catchy music all combined in a great new track.
