On 4 December, pop band Lucie,Too will release their EP, titled CHIME. To celebrate this release, the girl’s trio will have a release party, planned in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. At each of the show, different support acts will perform, such as UlulU in Tokyo, LIGHTERS in Osaka and SpecialThanks in Nagoya.

Before all of this will take place, the trio Lucie,Too released the music video of one of the songs that can be found on CHIME, titled あなたの光 (Anata no Hikari, Your Hope).

While the music video starts with an attempt to demolish an electric guitar on the beach, the song starts with a punk-like vibe. The speed of the song is also incorporated in the processing of the camera work by Yoshito Fukushima. There isn’t much time to concentrate on what you see as the images passing by very fast, so it looks like we’re part of a race to get through the song as fast as possible. And then to think that the song is not much longer than 2 minutes and 40 seconds, which is not uncommon for Lucie,Too at all.

Most of the video takes place in a living room with windows on various sides, giving it a nice natural lighting, which the director likes to play with. The song breathes Lucie,Too with the soft tones of Chisa’s voice which is well supported by the instrumental accompaniment and the vocal addition of drummer Naho, which gives it a powerful harmony singing while it remains soft in general.

あなたの光 (Anata no Hikari, Your Hope) is ultimately a cute song what we’re used to from the power trio and one fine introduction to CHIME. Now it is waiting for the EP! Hopefully, by then, the electric guitar that finally got demolished on the beach at the end of the music video will be replaced by a new one.

The single, あなたの光 (Anata no Hikari, Your Hope) will be available for digital streaming services, such as Spotify, iTunes, and Apple Music from 6 November.
