The organisation behind idol festival Monster Of Dolls announced that they have postponed their upcoming second edition of the music event to 21 November 2020. The original date for the event was 9 May. The decision was made after consultations with the performing groups and the current situation in connection with COVID-19. The organisation of the Italian event stated that due to the growing uncertainty of the logistics it will be impossible to go through with the event.

Tickets purchased for the May event will remain valid for the new date in November. Those who are not able to join on the new date can ask for a refund. The location stays te same, namely Estragon Club in the city of Bologna.

One of the confirmed Japanese idol acts, Zenbu Kimi no Sei da, will not be able to join this event due to previous commitment. They will be replaced by the group Yukueshirezutsurezure (ゆくえしれずつれづれ). The new confirmed line-up will be the following with You’ll Melt More, Yukueshirezutsurezure, KAQRIYOTERROR, MELON BATAKE A GO GO, BURST GIRL and Chinese idol unit Erisu.

You’ll Melt More!

The idol group You’ll Melt More! (ゆるめるモ!) started out in late 2012 and is also known as Yurumerumo. The group consisting of four members focuses on new wave and a mixture of electro, krautrock, shoegaze, hardcore, hip-hop, ambient, and techno. You’ll Melt More! have been performing outside Japan for a couple of times, including performances in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea.

Yukueshirezutsurezure

The group Yukueshirezutsurezure (ゆくえしれずつれづれ) can be called a Yami-Kawaii idol unit, formed in late 2015. They are the sister group of Zenbu Kimi no Sei da and part of the label Codomomental. Their official English name is Not Secured, Loose Ends.

KAQRIYOTERROR

KAQRIYOTERROR started out as Kaqriyo Terror Architect (幽世テロルArchitect) in 2017, but rebranded in 2019. The idol group belongs to the label Codomomental and makes music that fits in genre dance and electronic.

MELON BATAKE A GO GO

MELON BATAKE A GO GO (めろん畑 a go go) were at the first edition of Monster Of Dolls and planning to return (from outer space) for another party with their mixture of rockabilly, psychobilly and garage music.

BURST GIRL

BURST GIRL (爆裂女子) formed with ex-group members of the idol group Guso Drop and debuted in the first days of 2018. The group makes punk-rock and is known for their dynamic and energetic performance style.

ERISU

About this group there is not much known, except that the group consists of Chinese idols while being a European production. The organisation Monster Of Dolls describes ERISU (艾丽丝) as The Most Cenxxored Esoteric Idol Unit from China.

The first edition in May 2019 was a huge success. The event invited musical acts from Japan as LADYBABY, MELON BATAKE A GO GO (めろん畑a go go) and JYUJYU (じゅじゅ) to perform in the city of Bologna.
