With January around the corner, it is time to look forward to shows and tours of Japanese musicians in the new year. But metalcore band CRYSTAL LAKE came with the sudden announcement that their upcoming return to Europe for a tour with special guests Currents, Kingdom of Giants, and Caskets will not take place. The tour was scheduled to start in February to the first week of March in 2022.

The band shared their announcement on their Instagram and Facebook page: “Due to the growing number of COVID cases which are constantly affecting international borders and new travel restrictions popping up daily, we feel it is best that we cancel our February/March European headline tour and wait things out a bit longer before our return. We are very sorry, but we will be back as soon as possible. Refunds can be issued at the point of purchase.”

After cancelling the European summer tour in 2020, due to the current situation around COVID-19, it was waiting and see if the five-piece would decide to tour this summer. They had plans, but since the situation is not better at this moment those were cancelled. The men of CRYSTAL LAKE didn’t want to stand still and decided to hit the European stage in a cooler period of time but unfortunately, it wasn’t supposed to happen. Now fans have to wait for a new tour announcement of the Japanese metalcore band.

All changes of Japan-related events and events where Japanese musicians are planned to perform are compiled in a list that you can find here. This list will be regularly updated.
