Product Review: Heart – Crayon Shin-Chan Namaiki Oden

Heart – Crayon Shin-Chan Namaiki Oden – Simple
        Price: ± €8
Extra supplies: Water, Scissors, Bowl, Spoon, Optional: Toothpick of Cocktailpick.

Another cute Crayon Shin-Chan candy kit, this time Oden in candy form with a nice (fake) beer on the side. In the packaging you’ll find three powders for candy, a powder for the beer, chopsticks and a mould. There’s only one version available of this kit, but there are other Shin-Chan candy kits available.

        Flavour: ♥♥
This kit consists of a few different elements and flavours, but none of them were overly sweet and they all fit together well.

The grey candies had a soda flavour to them and a soft jelly-like texture. The white candies had a peach flavour and a similar texture to the grey ones. The yellow had a slightly softer texture and a banana flavour. All of the candies had a pretty faint flavour.

The ‘beer’ was carbonated and tasted sort of like cola, but it had more of a bitter taste to it than I’m used to with cola.

        Time needed: ⧗
You don’t need a lot of time for this kit, you just have to wait for the candies to set.

        Difficulty level: ★
This is a pretty easy candy kit to make, but do pay attention to the instructions. I accidentally only added one scoop of water to the peach candy mix, which made too little mixture and a way firmer texture of candy.

        Similarity: 📷📷📷
As you can see on the pictures below, the final product looks practically the same as the picture on the packaging. The colour of the grey candies is a little unclear on the packaging, which is why they seem see-through, but aside from that it’s the same. My lack of peach flavoured candy mix made less pretty eggs as well, but that was my mistake.

Want to enjoy this kit again?

Clean the mould and container with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry.

Fill the mould with chocolate, kneadable candies or use it to make some gummy candies.

This is not a sponsored review and because of this I won’t mention where I bought this set, if you do an online search using the name of this kit you’ll be able to find this one in several webshops.
